What the add-in does
- Reads the open file when you ask: the selected cells (or the used part of the active sheet) in Excel, the selected text (or the document) in Word, the selected slide in PowerPoint.
- Writes into the file only after you confirm. Every change (values, formulas, tables, formatting, slides, paragraphs) is shown as a card with Apply to document and Cancel.
- Saves results to your M360M account (Save to M360M) as a versioned artifact you can reopen and edit later on the web.
- Lets you choose the AI model and which knowledge of your M360M account (brains) the chat may use.

Install and sign in
- In Excel, PowerPoint or Word, select Home > Add-ins, search for M360M and select Add.
- Select M360M on the Home tab. The pane opens.
- Select Activate add-in. A sign-in window opens with a connection code.
- Sign in to M360M (or create an account) and confirm. The window says the add-in is active; close it.
- The pane connects by itself and opens the chat for that Office app.
For companies and IT
- Your company's Brain: answers use the knowledge, files and agents your company set up in M360M, within each person's permissions and organizational unit.
- Governance: administrators choose which AI models, knowledge and agents each team may use; usage is recorded and your data stays in your company's workspace.
- Single sign-on: people sign in with the company login (Microsoft Entra ID or another SAML / OIDC provider configured in M360M), with no separate password.
- Central deployment: a Microsoft 365 administrator can deploy M360M to users or groups in the Microsoft 365 admin center (Settings > Integrated apps > Get apps, search for M360M); it then appears on the Home tab without each person installing it.
Pricing
M360M is free to install. AI usage is billed to your M360M plan or credits, the same as in the M360M web app; additional purchase may be required.
Troubleshooting
- The sign-in window did not open: allow pop-ups for m360m.ai, or select Activate again.
- The code expired: codes last 15 minutes. Select Activate again to get a new one.
- This Office version can't make that change: update Office (File > Account > Update Options) or use Office on the web.
- The pane does not load: close and reopen the pane, and check that your network allows https://m360m.ai.
- Sign out: open the menu at the top of the pane and select Log out.
Privacy and data
M360M reads file content only when you use the chat, sends it to M360M over HTTPS to answer you, and does not store your file. What you save with Save to M360M stays in your account until you delete it.
The legal documents are currently published in Portuguese (Brazil).
